Applied Violence 101
One day force on force class.
If you spent any length of time in the gun community then you’ve probably been privy to a conversation that goes something like this; “If I ever find myself in that situation, then I’ll just take my gun and shoot them!” More often than not, this statement is not grounded in any proven reality but in tactical fantasy or daydream.
This one-day Force on Force class is conducted as an evaluation of a student’s readiness to perform on demand. Scenarios in these courses are calibrated to provide realistic - and often intense - problems, environments and opposition. Students should expect high levels of stress and adrenaline.
The goal is to allow you to better answer the question of “what would I do,” in the setting of an everyday armed citizen. You will have the opportunity to see how well your mindset and mission parameters are defined, and how they work themselves out in everyday situations.
Every person reacts differently in a given situation, and each person’s mindset is their own. As such, this class is NOT heavy on instruction. The focus of this class is not so much on the gun handling, but more so on the decision-making process. You will be provided situations for you to analyze and reflect back on, in the days and weeks following the class.
Gear Requirements:
• Belt
• Snacks and hydration
• Clothing to cover all skin (athletic cup recommended for the males)
• Holster for Glock 17 and a spare magazine (limited loaners available)
• Pen and paper
• Paintball mask (limited loaners available)
